Jack Attack! A List of Jack Skellington’s Many Cameos

.
We all like movies, but some of us get a little too involved. While a great story will always be a great story, movie geeks, like myself, enjoy looking for a little more. Certain directors, like Time Burton oblige us with easter eggs, little things in movies for us to look for the umpteenth time we watch a their films.
Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas has had several small and secret appearances over the years (even before Nightmare Before Christmas) was made,  some appearances obvious and indisputable, others fans still debate today. In my list, I wanted try to keep with the more certain Jack appearances, and so here they are, in no specific order…

1.  Beetle Juice

Towards the end of the film when Lydia summons Beetle Juice, he rises through the miniature city as a carnival attraction. In this scene he’s sporting a carousal hat with non other that a Jack Skellington center piece.
.

2. Coraline

This one was well hidden and takes a keen Eye to spot. When Coraline’s mother cracks the egg, the yolk contains the head of Jack
.

3. James and the Gian Peach

Deep below the sea James and crew encounter a sunken pirate ship, among the dead is Captain Skellington!
.

4. Sleepy Hollow

During the opening credits the camera soars through a corn field and reveals a scarecrow, this scarecrow if the exact scarecrow costume that Jack wears when he’s first introduced in Nightmare Before Christmas.
.

5. Vincent

Vincent was a short done by Tim Burton many years ago. Toward the end, the star of the film goes mad and mny ghastly visions invade his walls. This seems to be the first time that Jack makes an appearance.

If you’ve found Jack anywhere else be sure to post and let us know. I chose to leave out some common suggested appearances like Big Fish and The Princess and the Frog simply because they didn’t look enough like Jack to sell me.
Also, sorry for the image quality, all the shots were captures from video.
